Factors Influencing the Cost of Dental Veneers

1. Type of Veneer

The type of veneer selected significantly impacts the overall cost. Porcelain veneers, known for their durability and lifelike appearance, are generally more expensive than composite resin veneers.

2. Material Selection

The material used in crafting the veneers plays a crucial role in determining the cost. Porcelain, being a premium material, often commands a higher price compared to composite resin. The choice of material also influences factors like longevity and aesthetic outcomes.

3. Dentist’s Expertise

The experience and expertise of the dentist performing the procedure can influence the cost. Highly skilled and experienced dentists may charge higher fees for their services.

4. Geographical Location

The location of the dental practice is a contributing factor to cost variations. Practices in urban areas or regions with a higher cost of living may have slightly higher fees compared to those in less populated areas.

5. Number of Teeth Treated

The total cost of dental veneers depends on the number of teeth being treated. Some individuals choose to enhance specific teeth, while others opt for a comprehensive smile makeover.

6. Additional Procedures

Additional procedures, such as tooth preparation or other preparatory work, can impact the overall cost. These procedures are often necessary to ensure optimal results and longevity of the veneers.

Average Cost of Dental Veneers in the UK

1. Price Range

As of the last available information, the average cost of dental veneers in the UK typically ranges from £500 to £1,500 per tooth. This price range provides a general guideline, and actual costs may vary based on individual factors and specific case requirements.

2. Porcelain vs. Composite Resin

Porcelain veneers, with their premium material and durability, often fall on the higher end of the price spectrum. On the other hand, composite resin veneers are generally more affordable but may have a shorter lifespan.

3. Location-based Variations

The geographical location of the dental practice plays a role in cost variations. Practices in major cities or affluent areas may have higher fees to align with the local cost of living.

Alternative Options and Considerations

1. Private Dental Care

Given that dental veneers are primarily a cosmetic procedure, many individuals choose private dental care for this treatment. Private practices offer a range of cosmetic services with various materials and customisation options.

2. Cost Considerations

While private dental care involves out-of-pocket expenses, it provides individuals with the flexibility to choose treatments based on their preferences and aesthetic goals. The cost of dental veneers in private practices varies and may depend on factors such as material choice and the complexity of the case.

Had my first hygienist appointment with Sarah yesterday. She deserves the rating, my teeth look and feel clean and smooth. Sarah was gentle and thorough, hugely important to those of us with a fear of the invasiveness of dentistry. Next appointment booked!

I haven’t been to the dentist in over 10 years due to a very bad experience. My mother In law recommended Brooklands dental and I’m so pleased I listened to her. My teeth are in an awful state, I had a lot of tears leading up to my appointment and I cried in there too but Kirsty the receptionist was very reassuring, so kind and checked I was ok whilst I waited. Ana was amazing, she could see I was nervous but kept me calm, explained throughout what she was doing, put a dental plan in place with no pressure to commit to it. She didn’t judge the state of my teeth and was just so lovely and reassuring. I feel very confident that she is going to help me get my teeth and gums back on track so thank you so so much for your help and understanding

I don’t usually write reviews, I’m doing it for 2 reasons. Firstly I can not find any words to thank, The hygienist ❤️Julieanne ❤️I have seen her twice this week. 40 minutes for first visit and today was an 1hr. Due to circumstances, and being soooo frightened, and suffering with severe anxiety, I let my teeth get it to a state, which has caused bone loss and gum disease. I have seen many hygienists in my time. Unfortunately due to my fear and anxiety, I was always given a quick 20 minute clean, due to the sensitivity I had, and lack of patience from the hygienist, even with the injecting of the gums, I was into much pain. The only hygienist in 20 years plus, Julianne has been the only one that could do what I needed for years, and gave me a deep clean. She didn’t rush, spent time to numb my gums, she is an extremely gentle person, but got the job done. She would not allow me to have any discomfort. After my first visit on Tuesday, I was excited that there was a cancellation today, can’t believe I said that 😂, even though I was anxious, I trusted her. I have actually done it. The other reason for this review, is for all the other people out there like me. If you have sensitive teeth, the last thing we think we can do is have our teeth cleaned, especially under the gums. Don’t worry, you really can, it all depends how qualified the hygienist is. It’s easy for me to say this now, and yes I will be anxious on my next appointment, but she really didn’t hurt me at all. Book with Julieanne, even though you might of experienced a painful experience before, hate the dentist, suffer with anxiety, and never been able to get a deep clean due to the pain from the water, noice, vibration. I had mine done pain free. I know I’ve got to try to save my teeth, and will be quite happy to go to Julianne So from someone who really knows, don’t need to be scared and see an exceptional lady. Thank you so much Julieanne.Love Julie x

I have a real phobia of dentists but needed a tooth extracted so very reluctantly made an appointment here. All I can say is from the time I stepped inside the reception area until the time all my treatment had finished - the service was excellent. The staff are all so caring and understanding and made me feel at ease. All very friendly too. I have recommended a friend who has already made an appointment. I will be back in 6 months for a check up - which I have never done before. I always wait for a problem before I go to the dentist.
